If the current user is logged on with administrative user rights, an attacker could take control of the affected system. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights. To exploit the vulnerabilities, a user must open a specially crafted file with an affected version of Microsoft Office software.
[Office Mac] - Office Mac Volume License Asking To Activate
In an email attack scenario an attacker could exploit the vulnerabilities by sending the specially crafted file to the user and convincing the user to open the file. So I am still creating a master golden image and deploying it, can I install Office on the golden image and then throw the serializer package in munki or do a post install in deploy studio using that serializer package so it then activates office on the clients then? I am a bit confused as to the enforcement of licenses in the context of the new Office serialization method.
An organization I work for purchased 50 copies. If I install this on say, 10 test Macs, does that mean their available count of licenses is down to 40?
Or will all 50 still be available for deployment to devices in service? I am new to the Mac admin world and my company just started using Casper. Now I am in the process of upgrading Microsoft office from to for all our users about clients.
Before I start I am doing a lot of research so I can learn more about the Casper tools and hopefully chose the right option for this project. I am planning to just use the Self Service App to cache the Office installer on clients computers, after that I am still debating if it will be a good idea to have clients run the upgrade them selfs or just run it automatically for them.

I'm going to wait to see if this post makes it on here before I waste my time typing anymore. I know this is an older post, but with Office for Mac, they have created a static page for upgrades. Microsoft Update Site.
